We've read these notes, it's our last day. There's not much we can add. The beds are stripped, the kitchen clean, it's really rather sad.
In six short days we've swam with sharks, we've hit each sandy beach, we've strolled each night to Sea Spray bar, two gin and tonics each!
We hate to leave this place. We've loved this house, it's really great. We'd love to come next year. No TV, papers, telephone. For us this is ideal.

House owners note, we now have a telephone.

We had a fantastic stay at Bahama Breeze. The house is simply beautiful - it was wonderful to see, smell and hear the ocean every moment we were here. Miss Peggy was very generous and helpful. We felt well cared for. The waves got real big out here, so we enjoyed swimming at Tahiti Beach. If you go there, it is the opposite way as Hope Town. You keep going, and at some point you may see a sign that says "Private Property, No Trespassing." If you see this sign, ignore it and keep going. This is what we were told by the folks at the outdoor bar at Sea Spray resort. We did just this, and found the beautiful Tahiti Beach.
Another wonder of the island is Froggys. We went on a 1/2 snorkel and a full day snorkel - both were great. Lambert and Francis are great helpers. We explored some wonderful reefs in warm crystal blue water. It is worth every cent.
We enjoyed Pina Coladas at the Sea Spray outdoor bar. Captain Jack's is also a great place to chill and eat. On Wednesdays there is live music. That's pretty fun.
The most magical part of our stay was our first night. We sat on the deck with a cool breeze blowing on us, and the sun going down. It was quite romantic, and then to my great surprise . . . my boyfriend proposed to me! I was absolutely shocked. I sobbed in happiness and said "Yes!" He gave me a red gummy lifesaver as a ring as a token until we get the real ring back home in Boston. It seems that Bahama Breeze will be a special memory for us always. Here's hoping we can spend our 25th wedding anniversary here!
Thanks for the great place.

Overall, it was a wonderful week. Bread at Vernons Grocery Store was great! Liked the food and atmosphere of Harbor's Edge.
The little shallow reef behind Harbor Lodge is okay. Nice beach area.
Goft cart was fun and a must.
The kids loved the lizards in the bushes off the front porch. The hermit crabs that live under the tree in front were fun. The breezes were welcome and we never closed the windows.
Saturday - have to leave today. Hard to go back to reality. We will always remember our Abaco adventure. Thanks for letting us share your house.

Today ends week one of our wonderful 2 week vacation. The last week has been very busy and exciting. 25 Dolphin (1 almost 30 lbs), 3 Grouper (1 almost 15 lbs) and 1 Snapper. And, of course, some Baracudas.
Little Harbor was quaint - the old lighthouse, the art museum, the sculpturing studio, and of course, the famous Pete's Pub. Next we decided to check out Bight of Old Robinson, anchored the boat and tried to walk through Robinson's creek to find the "blue hole" - what an experience! Found and saw everything from the coral to jelly fish and, needless to say, never found THE BLUE HOLE!
Ended up snorkeling at Sandy Cay - was absolutely gorgeous.
Boated out to Man-O-War Cay and did some snorkeling at Fowl Cay - this too was absolutely gorgeous.
Let's not forget Hope Town, Elbow Cay, Captain Jack's and the Abaco Inn - love them all - what's why this year we decided to stay longer!
Well here we are at the end - this second week has been wonderful too - did some island hopping, a little more fishing (total 37 dolphin) and some snorkeling - so sorry to go. Love this house and beautiful island.
Thank you for sharing your home! See you again!

Our youngest son decided to get married in the Abacos. He and his dad always did sailing regattas here over the years. His fiancee and her family were sailors also. We arrived on Thursday, but Meg & Greg had arrived on Wednesday with quite a few of their friends. All together we had about 47 attending the wedding.
Thursday evening we went with 11 people to Cracker Ps via boat with no lights! We had a wonderful meal at Cracker Ps but the boat ride home was very scary. We did have a bright flashlight, so we could see, but we did see quite a few other boats with no lights.
Friday we had the rehearsal at the church in Hopetown and the rehearsal dinner at Hopetown Harbor Lodge. Tania was very accommodating and did a superb job. Saturday was the big wedding day. Everyone (except the bridal party) went to Hopetown on Froggy's boat. Vernon performed the ceremony. What a beautiful view, sitting in the church watching the waves come crashing in over the rocks.
We all came back to the Abaco Inn for the Reception. Abaco Inn closed the restaurant that night, so it was wonderful. They hired a local band. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Now one thing I forgot to say . . . Friday evening the electricity went out and didn't go back on until Saturday afternoon. We survived,k but were a little nervous. But all turned out well.
Greg and Meg left early Sunday by boat, to Treasure Cay, to spend a couple honeymoon days there. The weather was so bad on Tuesday, they couldn't make it home. Oh well, just another fun day in paradise! What a shame. Most all the guests departed on Sunday, but 6 of us stayed over until the 15th.
4 of our friends stayed at Hidden Cove and we stayed at Bahama Breeze.
We love it here. Every night we needed blankets. I woke up a lot at night and just enjoyed listening to the waves crashing. We did have quite a bit of rain this week, but we still had a great time.
At Hidden Cove, there's a dock, so we rented a nice 26 or 27 foot Paramount for the week. We went all over exploring.
Yesterday we went to Tahiti Beach and then to Little Harbor and Pete's Pub. Everyne should experience Pete's Pub and take an extra T-shirt to leave there.
We enjoyed going to Man-O-War. We ate several times at the Pavilion Restaurant - super! We ate at Captain Jack's, Harbor's Edge, Hopetown Harbor Lodge, and ice cream at Munchies across from Vernon's store.
So that's been our 10 days in paradise. We've had a fantastic time staying at the Bahama Breeze. It's cozy, quaint, and has everything you need. Peggy Gates was terrific. What a nice lady.
Hope you'll enjoy our stay here. We will be back again and bring more of the family to relax and enjoy.
